Veteran motorcycle cop is hit and killed by a drunk driver during funeral procession for his dead colleague.



A cruiser cop who was riding escort obligation for the memorial service of a dead associate has been slaughtered by a speculated alcoholic driver. 


Senior Corporal Earl 'Jamie' Givens was killed at an opportune time Saturday in Dallas while escorting the assemblage of Senior Corporal Tyrone Andrews from a memorial service home to a last resting place in east Texas after he passed on from malignancy. Driver Adrian Breedlove, 25, has been accused of inebriated murder and unlawful weapons ownership after professedly striking Givens on his cruiser. The episode unfurled around 5.30am, when Givens took a situation to close the on-ramp of Interstate 20 at Bonnie View Road, police said in a recorded press conference.



A Kia Sportage going at speed and struck Givens and smashed into a solid expressway divider, cops said. Officers on the scene rendered crisis help to Givens until the point when paramedics arrived. He was hurried to Baylor University Medical Center where he was articulated dead. Givens was a 32-year veteran of the Dallas Police Department and had been on the engine unit since 2012. Andrews, whose body was being escorted to conclusive rest, was a 27-year veteran of the division. The driver of the Sportage, distinguished as Breedlove, was confined at the scene under doubt of alcoholic driving. Breedlove is being held in the West Tower Detention Facility. 



His safeguard has been set at $76,000.
