New images have put some weight behind the rumors that upcoming iPhones may come with faster chargers.
Apple is expected to release several new iPhone models at its September event later this year, and it has been rumoured they could come bundled with a new charger.
A set of new images appearing on Macotakara show a more powerful 18-Watt USB-C wall charger that could dramatically reduce charging times.
Earlier leaks appeared to show a slimmer charger, but the newly released pictures imply the new technology is wider than expected.
The new 18W design is an oval shape with the standard round corners that people have come to expect from Apple.
The charger would be able to connect to iPhones using a Lightning to USB-C cable.
Capable of delivering 18 watts of power, it will be able to charge phones considerably faster than Apple's existing 5 watt, 10 watt and 12 watt chargers.
Many believe Apple will include the fast USB-C charger in the box alongside new iPhone models.
