Love & Hip Hop Hollywood' star Teairra Mari broke down in tears as she announced that she's suing her ex-boyfriend for allegedly leaking her sex tape and also suing rapper 50 Cent for posting an 'obscene photo' of her on Instagram.
The VH1 reality star and singer gave an emotional news conference on Thursday saying her ex-boyfriend, Akbar Abdul-Ahad, posted the X-rated video on her own Instagram account. Teairra said Abdul-Ahad had the password to her account.
She also alleged that he posted an 'obscene photo' of her on the social media account.
'Clearly to humiliate me,' Teairra said as her lawyers Lisa Bloom and Walter Mosley stood next to her.
'He had my Instagram password so he posted them on my Instagram to make me look terrible. Of course I was horrified.'
Teairra said she quickly deleted the video and image, only to find out that Abdul-Ahad's friend, 50 Cent, had shared the graphic image on his Instagram page.
'50 Cent has 18million followers. I was devastated. And to make it even worse, even after Instagram took the picture down, he had no remorse, no regard and he posted another photo and complained that IG was censoring him,' she said, pausing as she appeared to get emotional.
Teairra said she thinks Abdul-Ahad posted the sex tape and photo to get back at her for ending their relationship last week after she found out he was allegedly cheating on her.
In a statement on her Instagram page, the reality star thanked fans for their support and prayers.
'Recently, my social media was compromised by someone who I felt was deserving of my love and trust. That person proved to be untrustworthy and posted footage of what in the moment was private and sacred,' the statement read.
'Yes, you did,' the rapper responds. 'You told people I did it.'
'How did I tell people you did it,' the woman on the phone says. It's not clear if the woman Abdul-Ahad was speaking to is Teairra Mari, but in another post he accuses the singer of allegedly coming after his money.
Other Instagram Stories Abdul-Ahad posted included a video of a woman, allegedly Teairra Mari, smashing the windows of his car with a metal pipe.
Abdul-Ahad told TMZ that he was working out in the gym at his North Hollywood apartment when security told him that a woman was smashing the windows of his G-Wagon.
Lisa Bloom told TMZ that she and Teairra Mari will file a police report over the leaked tape.
'We have a significant piece of evidence that points to (Akbar),' she said.
50 Cent has yet to comment on the lawsuit directly, but posted an Instagram photo of him with Bloom's mother, writing, 'Oh Lisa stop. Don't make me tell your mom. LOL.'
