It has been revealed that Donald Trump Jr met during the 2016 campaign with an Israeli social media manipulator and an envoy representing the crown princes of United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia.
Erik Prince, the former head of Blackwater security contractors, arranged the August 3, 2016 meeting between Trump Jr, Israeli consultant Joel Zamel and George Nader, the envoy who offered campaign help, the New York Timesreported.
Alan Futerfas, Trump Jr's attorney, said on Saturday that nothing came of the meeting.
'Prior to the 2016 election, Donald Trump Jr recalls a meeting with Erik Prince, George Nader and another individual who may be Joel Zamel,' Futerfas said in an emailed statement.
'They pitched Mr. Trump Jr. on a social media platform or marketing strategy. He was not interested and that was the end of it,' Futerfas said.
