WIZ KHALIFA (SEE YOU AGAIN) EARNS DIAMOND CERTIFICATION

The diamond certification from the RIAA is a rare milestone for any artists to get, especially in hip-hop.
While there are a handful of rap albums that have reached been certified diamond, there seems to be a similar amount of songs that have also accomplished that. However, Wiz Khalifa, who's racked up a ton of platinum and gold plaques throughout his career, is now one of the few rappers who has a song that has moved 10M equivalent units.
Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth's collaboration, "See You Again" has been officially certified Diamond by the RIAA. The single, which was produced as a tribute to the late actor Paul Walker, served as the rapper's contribution to the Furious 7 soundtrack. Released in 2015, the song went on to spend twelve weeks atop the Billboard Hot 100 in the same year and also became the most viewed video on YouTube before Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee's "Despacito" dominated 2017. It's also sitting at 3.8M views as of today (Nov. 28).
Aside from hitting this impressive milestone in his career, Wiz Khalifa is a few months removed from his latest project, Rolling Papers 2. The rapper recently revealed plans to follow-up his latest album with an R&B project, although we're not sure when we could expect that, or even what to expect from it. Keep your eyes peeled for news on that and congrats to Wiz for the milestone.
