HUMAN PART DEALER FOUND IN POSSESSION OF AN EYEBALL, ARRESTED IN NIGER STATE

A 35-year-old Shuaibu Ibrahim suspected to be a human parts dealer has been arrested by the police in Niger State for allegedly being in possession of a human eyeball.

Ibrahim of Safiu village in Toto Local Government of Nasarawa State was apprehended by police detectives attached to Gawu Babangida Division in Gurara LGA of Niger State while on a routine patrol of the area yesterday.
The police said the eyeball was removed from a victim of communal clash between Igbira and Bassa people in Nasarawa State.
The police said the suspect had been trafficking in human parts for about five years before he ran out of luck yesterday.
He was said to have been given the part by an accomplice identified as Ojo (now at large) to sell in Niger State at the cost of N250,000.
The suspect confirmed to journalists that he was an intermediary between Ojo and the buyers.
“My job is to deliver human parts given to me by Ojo to his clients across the northern states. We make quick money in this business but I cannot tell what the buyers use them for,” he said.
