‘Some people are sore losers, and you know, we’ve just gotta keep going,’ she said, her Charlotte, North Carolina, crowd erupting into a ‘Hillary’ chant.

Since Trump said last Wednesday at the final presidential debate that he may not accept the results of the election if she wins, Clinton has hammered him for it, asserting at each stop that her opponent is a ‘direct threat to democracy.’

Militants armed with assault rifles and explosive vests attacked a compound in the northern Iraqi city of Kirkuk and killed 16 at a constructions site further north as the jihadists' grip on Mosul started to slip.

In one attack, three bombers infiltrated a power plant being built by an Iranian company near Dibis, a town about 25 miles northwest of Kirkuk.
Hours earlier, a commando of suicide bombers armed with rifles attacked multiple locations in Kirkuk, an ethnically divided city 150 miles north of Baghdad, security sources said.

Ohio mother's confession details how she smothered her three young sons with blankets 'so they would never abuse women'.

Pilkington can be heard in the recording, made in August 2015, a day after the death of her youngest son, telling officers that she was sleeping with the infant in bed and then woke up on top of him. She also was recorded saying she held a blanket over her other son's face.

You've never seen a doggy paddle like THIS! Golden retriever is an expert SURFER and takes disabled children out on the water.

A golden retriever is proving that there is more to doggy paddle than a simple swim in the sea.

Ricochet is a champion surfer who puts his talents on the board to good use by teaching disabled children how to surf.

Parents of children, suffering from a range of conditions from autism to physical impairments, have been shocked at how the dog encourages them into the sea.

Boy, 13, to have his leg amputated after teacher 'BODY-SLAMMED him to the floor three times on his first day of school, then sent him home without medical attention or telling his mom'.

A teenage boy from Columbus, Georgia, will have his right leg amputated today after a teacher allegedly body-slammed him to the floor three times, causing nerve damage.

Montravious Thomas, 13, was attending Edgewood Student Services Center on September 12 when Bryant Mosley 'had to physically restrain a student... due to behavioral issues,' a Columbus Police Department report said.

But an attorney representing Thomas and his mother says Mosley repeatedly threw the boy to the ground then sent him home without medical attention or telling his mom, The Ledger-Enquirer reported.

Thomas was attending the AIM program, which hosts children who have been temporarily removed from their regular schools due to disruptive behavior, when the incident happened.

It was his first day at the program, according to WTVM.

According to Renee Tucker, who represents Thomas and his mom Lawanda, the boy was trying to leave class to call his mom when Mosley, a behavioral specialist, stopped him.

Mosley then threw him to the floor for an 'unknown reason,' Tucker said, and did it again when the boy tried to leave again.

Tucker also claims that Eddie Powell, the assistant principal, saw the violence at one point, an that a school resource officer saw Thomas limping away but didn't help or file a report.

The attorney also says that the school talked about calling for an ambulance, but then decided against it, and that Mosley then put the boy on a bus home without calling his family.

'Doctors talked to him and his mother on Sunday and told him they were having to take his leg since they were unable to improve the flow of blood to his lower leg.

The family will be pursuing a lawsuit, Tucker said, and that early filing notices put the figure at $5million.

A man has burned a hole in his throat after trying to eat the world's hottest chilli, a medical journal has revealed.
The 47-year-old American ate a burger smothered in a puree made of Bhut jolokia - luminous orange chillies that grow in India, also known as ghost peppers.
Within seconds, the man began to vomit.
His vomiting continued so violently that he eventually tore a hole in his esophagus.

The 47-year-old American ate a burger smothered in a puree made of Bhut jolokia - luminous chillies that grow in India, also known as ghost peppers. He ended up with a feeding tube.
It was not until he began reeling on the floor in pain that he was taken to the emergency room.

Doctors performed an abdomen and pelvic scan that revealed a build up of air, fluid and food inside his body.
Eventually he was wheeled into the operated room where surgeons discovered a 2.5cm tear in the left side of his throat.

According to the Journal of Emergency Medicine, the man was given a tube to aid his breathing for 14 days as he recovered.

He then spent another nine days in hospital before he was eventually discharged - with a feeding tube in place.

Writing in the Journal, medics said: 'This case serves as an important reminder of a potentially life- threatening surgical emergency initially interpreted as discomfort after a large spicy meal.'

Few people survive a tear in the esophagus, a medical complication known as Boerhaave syndrome.

It was first reported in 1724 by a Dutch doctor called Herman Boerhaave.
With very few typical symptoms, it is difficult to diagnose before it is too late.
After a while, sufferers commonly develop potentially fatal shocks or sepsis.

However, around a third of cases happen under unusual circumstances.
It is not clear how the ghost pepper prompted the man's esophagus to rupture - whether it was the inflammation, the retching, something else, or a combination of factors.

Ghost peppers have a Scoville rating of more than one million.
To put that in perspective: a sweet bell pepper has 0, Tabasco has 100, and Jalapeno has 2,500.

Samsung refuses to use outside labs to test its batteries: Claims self-testing could not have led to battery crisis.

Smartphone manufacturers selling their products through major US carriers all put their batteries to the test at external labs approved by the CTIA – that is, except for Samsung.

In the midst of the firm’s massive recall of the ill-fated Galaxy Note 7, which is set to cost at least $5.3 billion and has been called an ‘environmental disaster,’ it has been revealed that Samsung tests its products at an in-house lab.

Though the facility is certified by the CTIA, the move makes Samsung the only such manufacturer that does not use an independent battery testing site, according to a report from the Wall Street Journal.

A Samsung Note 7 handset is positioned for testing in the lab (left), then later catches fire after pressure is applied to its fully charged battery (right). The testers later claimed that the same would happen to 'any phone' under these conditions.

Smartphone manufacturers selling in the US all go through one of 28 labs certified by the US wireless industry’s trade group, the CTIA, according to the report.
Other tech giants, including Apple, use third-party CTIA labs.

On Friday, Samsung said it will be making ‘significant changes’ in its quality assurance process to improve the safety of its devices.
The firm, however, did not elaborate on how this would be done.

When manufacturers test their own products rather than going through a third party, they often run the risk creating conflicts of interests, Eddie Forouzan, of the IEEE committee that developed the battery standard, tells WSJ.
Doing this, however, can help to protect company secrets and even get the product out faster.

In a statement police said they are now investigating the early morning homicide.

She said her daughter wanted to become a surgeon and also hoped to match the Olympic glory of her father.
"I should never have to bury my own child," Boyd said. "She wanted to be the fastest woman in the world, and they took that away from her".

Twin boys conjoined at the head are finally separated after 20-hour op that veteran surgeon almost stopped half-way through.

A pair of twins conjoined at the head have been successfully separated after a 20-hour operation.

Anias and Jadon McDonald, 13 months old, are recovering in the Bronx's Montefiore Hospital after their life-threatening operation on Thursday.

According to their surgeon - Dr James Goodrich - it is incredible they made it this far.

Half way through the operation, the veteran neurosurgeon considered stopping the procedure altogether when they discovered the boys shared far more brain tissue than they had expected - even despite using 3D imaging to prepare.

Made it out: One of the twins, Jadon (pictured), is recovering in his ward on Friday.

Anias was still in surgery late on Friday morning since he was more affected by the separation of their brain tissue

Extraordinary: Anias and Jadon McDonald underwent surgery to be separated

With every cut, Anias' heart rate and blood pressure plummeted.
Eventually he found an opening and continued, successfully separating the two.

However, it means that while Jaden is recovering relatively well, Anias was still in surgery late on Friday morning, and could face severe physical issues.
Their parents Nicole and Christian, from near Chicago, Illinois, sat in the waiting room the whole time.

Nicole, 31, took to Facebook on Friday to explain all the details to the thousands of people that have followed the family's story.

'The overall atmosphere was one of celebration mixed with uncertainty,' she explained

They boys were born via cesarean section last September near Chicago, Illinois.
They were attached by the crown of the head.

Nicole and 37-year-old Christian insisted the boys were perfect as they were.
But in order to let them lead a normal life, they have traveled to Montefiore Hospital in the Bronx, New York, to have one of the world's most esteemed surgeons perform the incredibly rare operation to separate their heads.
The operation costs $2.5 million.

Long wait: Their parents Nicole and Christian (pictured in white) stand in the ward with the surgeons as the boys get ready for their 20-hour surgery on Thursday in Montefiore Hospital

Happy: Nicole, 31, and 37-year-old Christian, insisted the boys were perfect as they were

The boys were wheeled into the operating theater at 7.15am on Thursday.
'I could almost keep them like this,' Nicole told CNN before the operation, admitting that she had become attached to the boys this way.

She said she knew this was for the best, but the fear that something could go wrong during surgery was excruciating.
'This is so hard. I'm not going to sugarcoat it,' she said.

Anias and Jadon, who have a three-year-old brother Aza, are technically called 'craniopagus twins' - a phenomenon that occurs just once in every 2.5 million births.

Based on national statistics, it is astonishing they made it to 13 months.
Around 40 per cent of craniopagus twins are stillborn.
Of those that survive, a third die within 24 hours of birth

Doctors in China succesfully operate on 28-week-old fetus with heart disease...while inside mother's belly.

Doctors in Guangzhou Province, South China have successfully operated on a 28-week-old fetus with congenital heart disease - while in its mom’s belly.

The 39-year-old patient, whose surname is Xie, became pregnant for a second time six months ago. Twenty-one weeks later, she had an ultrasonic test which showed the fetus was suffering from arrhythmogenic right ventricular dysplasia. The chances of survival are very low if surgery is undertaken after birth.

Xie insisted she wanted to keep the baby. And on September 22, doctors in Guangzhou conducted interventional cardiology treatment, with the help of experts from Austria. The size of the fetus’ heart was as small as an almond so the slightest movement could have resulted in damage, said Zhuang Jian, the director of Guangdong General Hospital.

Xie left the hospital four days after the successful operation. This is the first time Chinese doctors have conducted an interventional cardiology operation on a fetus’ congenital heart disease.
