Donald Trump boasted during tonight's presidential debate that some of his previously released federal tax returns showed that he paid zero percent in federal taxes.

'That makes me smart,' the businessman shot back when rival, Democrat Hillary Clinton, brought up the point.

After Trump initially said he'd release tax returns against his attorneys' wishes if Clinton released some of her deleted State Department emails, the former secretary of state went in on him for pulling a 'bait and switch.'

 Clinton named the reasons why Trump may be reluctant to let the American public see his returns, which he's repeatedly said he's not releasing because he's under a 'routine audit.'

 'Second, maybe he's not as charitable as he claims to be,' she continued.

 'Third, we don't know all of his business dealings, but we have been told through investigative reporting that he owes about $650 million to Wall Street and foreign banks,' she added.

Her next point got a response out of The Donald.

'Or maybe he doesn't want to the American people, all of you watching tonight, to know that he's paid nothing in federal taxes,' she said.

 A Labor Day with friends turned into a devastating tragedy for four high school students when one accidentally shot another, and then killed himself out of despair.

Marsavious 'Savie' Frazier was showing Daquarion Hunter, both 17, a gun as they sat by side in an alley behind their friend's home in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

The gun accidentally went off and struck Hunter in the chest, causing him to drop to the ground.

Frazier immediately panicked and ran, putting the gun to his head before pulling the trigger. Both teens' bodies were found just 30 yards away from each other.

Their 17-year-old friend Armonte Tolbert, who saw the horrible incident unfold, was holding Hunter when police arrived, crying and screaming in shock.

Tolbert told police the three teens and their friend Timothy Whittaker had spent most of the day playing video games before going to their usual 'chill spot' next to the garage at his house. 

The teens had set up chairs in the area and were hanging out around 9pm when Frazier revealed he was upset after seeing a woman earlier that evening.

Tolbert told police Frazier had made comments about hurting himself but that his friends were able to 'talk him down', according to the Kalamazoo Gazette . 

This was apparently not unusual for Frazier, who Tolbert told police had made 'suicidal comments in the past as well'. 

Sheree Tolbert said when she arrived in the alley she saw her son holding Hunter, who he had known since he was six years old, and screaming 'Stay with me!', the police report reads. 

A black Harrington and Richardson 732.32 caliber was still in Frazier's hand.

The Walt Disney Company is evaluating a potential bid for Twitter, Bloomberg reported on Monday, citing people familiar with the matter.

Unconfirmed reports that Twitter is interested in selling itself buoyed the San Francisco-based company's shares at the end of last week, and the stock price rose around a percentage point on Monday as talk of Disney's interest spread.

Twitter co-founder and chief executive Jack Dorsey is on the entertainment colossus's board, which could help the service with its push toward using the messaging platform for streaming live video.

Pet owners in New York can now ask to be buried with their beloved companions - a privilege that few other states have granted.

Governor Andrew Cuomo signed the measure into law on Monday. Until now, New York State allowed humans to be buried with their late pets - but only in pet cemeteries.

Now, the companions themselves can be buried in human cemeteries, as long as they have been cremated.

The new legislation only applies to non-profit cemeteries and does not concern religious cemeteries.

Cuomo, a Democrat, says many New Yorkers consider their pets to be a member of the family.

He called the previous regulation, which banned the burial of cremated pet remains with their owners in human cemeteries, 'unnecessary.'

This is the latest in a series of measures dedicated to pet owners in New York. Last year, state lawmakers passed a law allowing dogs on restaurant patios. They also are considering a ban on cat declawing.

An investigation by Syracuse Fire Department says the boy, who has not been publicly identified, used a lighter to set some kind of paper on fire, such as a magazine or newspaper.

They released the report of the September 1 fire following a Freedom of Information request from Syracuse.com.

A female patient with a heart condition died after she asked doctors to turn off her pacemaker in what is believed to be the UK's first assisted dying case.

Nina Adamowicz, who died last October, had her pacemaker fitted in 1996.

Her doctor, not yet named, agreed to switch off her pacemaker last year.

Active euthanasia and assisted suicide are still illegal under English law.

After gaining her doctor's approval, Adamowicz went into her local hospice where her doctor turned the pacemaker off. She died the next day.

Outrage as University of North Dakota female students make Black Lives Matter Snapchat gag wearing facial masks.

The incident comes just days after three other white UND students stole the phone of an African American student, locked her out of her own dorm room, took a picture of themselves laughing, and then posted the image to Snapchat.

The University of North Dakota is investigating after a photo emerged that shows four white students in black face masks that was posted to Snapchat with the caption 'Black lives matter.'

The picture is the second racially-charged image to come from a group of female students at the university in less than two days.

In that first instance, three white students were seen flashing a peace sign reading 'Locked the black b***h out.' which was also shared on Snapchat.

Maloke said that her friend left her phone in a room and three students, pictured in the photo laughing and throwing up peace signs, took her friend's phone and posted the picture, with the offensive caption, to her Snapchat without permission.

'I'm so livid!! We all know Racism is alive and well (whether you like to admit it not). When said acts of racism happen at your school, it is infuriating and heart breaking,' Maloke wrote.

'My friend was not aware that they had done this and didn't even realize they had put this on her snapchat story until another friend of ours pointed it out. The University of North Dakota needs to take action against these students for this blatant act of racism.'

The president of the University, Mark Kennedy, said in a statement that he's appalled at the messages that were posted to social media.

'Trump will win', says professor who has predicted 30 years of presidential outcomes correctly.

Professor Allan Lichtman, a distinguished professor of history at American University, Washington D.C, has correctly predicted the winner of every U.S presidential election since 1984 and has now said he is certain that Republican candidate Donald Trump will win the November 8 election and also explained how he came to the decision...

According to Lichtman, his prediction isn't based on horse-race polls, shifting demographics or his own political opinions but he uses a system of true/false statements he calls the "Keys to the White House" to determine who will win the election and it's always worked since 1984.
